I ended up totally addicted to Appleworks,
after swearing for years I would not end up
that way. I bought a version of iWork to try
it out, and it seemed so inferior to Appleworks.
Plus, all the rumors about Apple finally
producing a class office suite all seemed
inconclusive. So now I'm finally, and very
slowly, transitioning over to Neo Office,
which really is turning out to be a very
nice program, and the price is right, (free).
Still, it's not as light and agile. It can do
more, but is still a bit clunky and slow.
However, it is compatible with Open
Office and all that futuristic stuff, and
so I'm leaning that way, unless Apple
miraculously has a change of heart
and releases a Mega-Appleworks
update.
